Bhanu Kuncharam Bhanu Kuncharam

Post Doctoral Fellow
Chemical Engineering

B.Tech. (Ch.E.); 2008 - Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (Anantapur) (India)
Ph.D. (Ch.E.); 2013 - Texas A&M University, College Station (USA)

Bhanu obtained Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in May 2008 in Chemical Engineering at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Anantapur in India.

Bhanu Kuncharam got his Ph.D in December 2013 in chemical engineering from Texas A&M University, College Station. At Texas A&M University, Bhanu worked with Dr. Benjamin Wilhite in membrane reactor research group. His doctoral thesis focused on modeling and experimental research of catalytic membrane reactor for cost-effective hydrogen separation.

After his Ph.D, Bhanu joined in July 2014 as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Dr. Dixon’s Heat and Mass Transfer laboratory. His research, sponsored by ArcelorMittal, was to develop a validated 3D CFD model of a Midrex reformer. He also worked on CFD modeling of packed bed reactors for methane reforming.

In July 2017 Bhanu started a new position in the Department of Chemical Engineering, at Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani (BITS-Pilani), India.
